RACE DAY RULES and INFORMATION
START TIMES
Fun Run 11.30am, distance approx. 2miles and mainly off-road.
Entries taken up to 11am on race day.
Main Race starts at 1pm from Masham market place. There are no
entries on the day.
PARKING
All race day parking is at I'Ansons Mill on Thorpe Road, HG4 4JB
for sat nav users. Parking will be well signposted through the
town. Please do not park on the streets.
RACE DAY FACILITIES
Changing facilities for ladies are downstairs in the Town Hall,
and for men in Masham School hall. Toilets are located downstairs
in the Town Hall, and public toilets are behind the Community
Office.
MEDICAL
St John's ambulance will be on hand during and after the race
for any medical problems. Further medical advice from St John's on
Medical Page.
PRESENTATIONS and TEA
The presentations will be held upstairs in the Town Hall at
approx. 4pm.
All runners in the 1/2m are entitled to a free meal, this is
available in the ground floor dining room.
MEALS CANNOT BE ORDERED ON THE DAY
RACE RULES
Your allocated number indicates if you are a male or female
runner, so check your number is correct.
The exchange or selling of number is not permitted. Any
competitor found doing so will be expelled from the race, and
banned from future Burn Valley Runs.
Please note that all runners under 9 in the Fun Run must! be
accompanied by an adult. These are strict UK Athletic rules.
Due to the race been run on rural roads, the use of MP3 players
is not permitted for safety reasons. Please listen for traffic, and
marshall instructions. You will not be permitted to race if you are
using an MP3/iPod player, and will be disqualified.
